Uncle Joe, Lisa and Michelle,
We are praying for all of you. We loved our Aunt Eleanor! As a child, her voice boomed when she was in the kitchen. I was always a little nervous when I entered, not knowing if I was going to get a meatball or yelled at. I always got a meatball or a taste of whatever she was cooking and a kiss because behind that tough cookie of a woman was a loving wife, mom and aunt. As I grew older, she grew with us and treated us like the adults we had become. Our relationship grew stronger and I was better for it. Watching her fight her illnesses over the years provided me with one more example of how you need to treasure life and to not give up when life becomes difficult. I will always treasure the time that I had with her on Saturday before she passed. Praying with her and giving her one last kiss meant the world to me. We are heartbroken that she is gone but we take solace in the fact that she is finally at peace. We love all of you! ~ Chris and Ann DeMarco
