Agnes I. “Aggie” Farnum, 99, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Pocopson Home. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony “Mickey Duffy” Farnum, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1954.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Nazzareno and Carmella (nee Cellini) Matalucci.

Agnes spent most of her life in Downingtown, raising her family in Johnsontown. She was employed by Wyeth Laboratories, retiring in 1979. She also worked as a hostess at the Downingtown Motor Inn.

Agnes loved following sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. She enjoyed travelling and, over the years, she travelled to destinations across the globe. She also very much enjoyed cooking for her family. A Catholic in faith, Agnes was a member of St. Joseph Church, Downingtown.

She is survived by a son, James “Stalk” (Mary Alice) Farnum, of Ocean City, MD; grandchildren, Tonia Farnum, of Coatesville; Tony (Jennifer) Farnum, of Exton; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Mason Farnum. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carmalene (Carmie) Farnum-Bende.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 23, at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, with a viewing at the church from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
