Dotty was a true lady. Dotty took me under her wing immediately. She had discovered a common bond which was I was born and now live on the street where she was raised. After 2 months of beginner lessons, Dotty gave me private lessons for a TINY fee because she wanted to help me improve.
She called me her "Billy boy".
Dotty had true artistic talent and bridge talent but her real talent was being a wonderful person who accepted and loved everyone.
Good-bye, Dearest Dotty you will be missed by all is knew you.
"Billy-boy"

Very sad to know that Dotty is gone. I enjoyed going to her bridge games when I could, and was impressed with how she could play the cards when I mis-bid and got us into a "funny" contract. I was impressed with her as a director, too. I had not seen the obituary suggestion of where to donate, but since she had been a tax client of mine for many years, I knew of some of the charities to which she always used to donate, and I donated to one of them in her memory. We shall not see the likes of such a talented person probably for a while. Adios, Dotty.

Dotty was a true lady. When I first started with bridge, she encouraged me to be a better player and to teach.
She and Sam once took me to dinner because they discovered that my wife was out of town and thought I needed a good meal. Just an example of her kindness.
The number of people she touched, in the bridge world alone, must be countless.
Rest in peace, dear lady.

My family and I were saddened to read of Dotty's passing . My mother, Joan Nesteruk, worked for Dotty in her dress shop for over 20 years. She loved working there, and she loved Dotty. We would often stop in to say hello when we were at the Village. Dotty was a strong, intelligent and brave woman. And, of course, she always looked glamorous. Sincere condolences to the family and Sam. What a long and amazing life she had. 95 years, incredible.
