Yvonne Fay Boyer

Yvonne Fay Boyer, 84, of Downingtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Hickory House Nursing Home in Honey Brook.  She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Boyer, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Helen Mae Hoyle Coover.

Yvonne worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant since she was 33 years old.  She worked for Friends Hall and St. Martha Manor Nursing Center before retiring in 2004.

She is survived by a son, Bryan T. Boyer and his wife, Carole; two daughters, Debra Rittenhouse and her husband Michael and Gail Eller and her husband Ralph; a brother, Ira Dale Coover; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, Yvonne was predeceased by a son, Barry Boyer and a daughter, Dawn Boyer.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.  Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery, West Chester.
