William K. Higgins, 70, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022 surrounded by his family at Chester County Hospital.
Born in Darby, Pa, he was the son of the late William J. and Leona F. Smith Higgins. He grew up in Folsom, Pa, and graduated from Ridley Township High School. He lived the last several years at The Hickman Senior Community.
Bro Bill/Uncle Bill was always the life of the party. His laughter was contagious and will be missed by all. He was one in a million. After a long career as a custodian in the school system, he cared for his mother in her later years. He was always there to help his family – walking their pets, picking up groceries and kids after school, carrying his nieces and nephews until they finally fell asleep, and mowing the grass at the farm. Bill loved many things, especially Rock & Roll, but above all he loved his family. He was a loving, supportive, and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Bill is survived by his siblings, Patsy, Kevin, and Susan and his brothers-in-law Tom and Bob, and his sister-in-law Katy. He is also survived by his 4 nieces, 5 nephews, 3 grandnieces and 2 grandnephews. He was very well loved by all.
A liturgy service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2022, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment will be held at approximately 12:15 p.m. following the liturgy service. Interment will take place at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. A luncheon will follow
