Virginia Rivera Pereira, 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at her home, in Coatesville, PA, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of Miguel Rivera De Leon, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. 

Born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Juan Rivera and Juana Pereira.  Despite the many challenges she faced at an early age, she managed to graduate high school in Humacao, PR. Virginia contributed to raising of her 14 brothers and sisters, whom think of her as a mother figure. 

She was employed for 28 years at Intel Inc. in Puerto Rico, and worked as an assembler.  

Since 2001, Virginia was a member of the Narrow Door Christian Church, in Coatesville, PA. There she served as general treasurer, deacon and later as a co-pastor. 

She enjoyed sewing, teaching others about God, decorating and cleaning the church, helping the needy, cooking for everyone, having her house available to whomever needed a place to stay, reading the word of God and memorizing it, singing and writing songs, reciting poems, and spending time with her family. 

Virginia will be remembered for her kind heart. She was always willing to help you, some compared her to an ant, others to a bee. Always moving, always working, always determined. 

She is survived by her husband, Miguel Rivera; children, Nivea Rivera, Lizbeth and Jose Rabelo, Yoaliz and Pedro Mestre, Adalberto and Marilyn Rodriguez; grandchildren, Yanira and Jonathan Mercado, Joseph and Jomayraliz Rabelo, Alvin Peña, Aryaniz, Irelyz, Amisaday, Zurisaday, Pedro and Devyn Mestre, Justin, Taniushka and Milaishka Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Julian, Isabella, Aiyanaliz, Ezequiel, Josiah, Yisabella, Scarlett, Nevaeh, Amalia, Kennett and Aziel. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on April 5, 2021 at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville PA 19320, with a viewing from 9:30 am until the start of the service.  Interment will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Pax Christi Cemetery, Humacao Puerto Rico. 

Although flowers would be nice, due to traveling the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the James J. Terry Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs at the address listed above.
