Theodore J. Gacomis

October 27, 1952 ~ June 20, 2021 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Tribute

Theodore J. Gacomis “Ted”, 68, of Chester Springs, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Ellen Mitchell Gacomis, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.

Born in Kingston, Pa, he was the son of the late Theodore and Veronica Goode Gacomis.

Ted’s dedication to his work in local townships was marked with integrity, professionalism and concern for the welfare of people and the environment. Ted unselfishly, freely, and without expectation gave his time, talents, energy and resources to help others. Ted touched the lives of many people through his volunteer work in the Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Honduras and numerous other efforts. Ted loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed the learning and people he experienced along the way. A full-house at the beach in North Carolina provided lots of opportunity for “Uncle Ted’s teasing.” Finally, Ted was a devout Nittany Lion PSU fan.

In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by two nieces, Sarah Blattner (Mark) and Jamie Torres (Pedro); a nephew, Scott Mitchell; a brother, Peter Gacomis (Ulysses McAlpine); two sisters, Mary Havir and Kennie Harr and by his favorite four-legged companion, Halea.
