Ruth " Lynn " Ellinger

Lynn (Ruth E.) Ellinger passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Brookside Memory Care Center in New Oxford, PA at the age of 98.  She was the wife of the late William A.,  loving mother of Richard, wife Linda, daughter, Peggy Rainbow,  husband Fred, and son Mark Ellinger,  wife Joann.  She was the loving grandmother of Diane Halstead, Carrie Almedia, Scott and Brian Ellinger, Ryan, Christopher, and Michael Ellinger.  Loving great grandmother of Ryan and Luke Halstead; Jack, Benjamin and Anna Almedia; Oriana, Alexander, Jessica and Iva Ellinger. 

Lynn graduated from Kansas State University.  She enjoyed watercolor painting and was a former member of the Pittsburgh Water-Color Society in Pittsburgh where she lived for many years. 

She was an honorary life member and served on the Board of Directors of The Philadelphia Watercolor Society.  She taught watercolor painting and exhibited her paintings in many shows that she was invited to throughout PA and NJ, winning several awards.  Her paintings are included in public and private collections including Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation and Gloucester County College.  She illustrated the book, ” The Flowers Speak “ and was published in American Artist Magazine.  Above everything else, her pride and joy was her family, especially all her grand and great grandchildren.  

A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 1PM from the James J. Terry Funeral Home 1060 W. Lincoln Hwy. COATESVILLE, PA, where relatives and friends may call from 11:30 am till 12:45 pm. 

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. Thomas Moore, 1439 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ  08003 or charity of your choice.
