Rose C. Baldwin

Rose C. Baldwin, 94, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, December 28, 2020 at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Mattes and Anna Salamida.

Rose enjoyed traveling with friends. Whether international or around the country, her favorite was Italy. She loved reading, and could always be found with a book in her hands.

She volunteered at the Chester County Library and enjoyed attending the Lifelong Learning Institute at Immaculata University.

Rose will be remembered for her generosity, devotion, kind heartedness, and everlasting love.

Over her lifetime she worked as a teacher in Detroit, and an administrative professional at Burrough’s Corporation, SunGard Information Systems, and Great Valley Medical Associates.

Her daughters; Virginia B. Warihay (William); and Melissa Mahan (Robert) grandchildren; Michael McKenna, Matthew McKenna, Andrew McKenna, R. Ryan Gibson, Dalynn (Duffy) Shockley, William Warihay, Samantha (Warihay) Price, and Tyler Warihay survive Rose.  She is also survived by nine great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela M. McKenna.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s honor and memory may be made to Tel Hai Meadows Health Care Center.
