Ralph G. Ames Jr.

Ralph G. Ames, Jr., 72, of Elverson, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville. He was the beloved husband of Joann M. Swarner Ames, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in Royersford, he was the son of the late Ralph G. Ames, Sr. and Elsie Mae Kloeffel Ames.

Ralph worked as an Instrument Technician for Merck before retiring in 2009. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Jody Ames, Ralph G. Ames, III and his wife Kim and a grandchild, Payton.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald house.
