Patricia Ann Drill

Patricia Ann Drill, 80, of Exton, passed away June 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Jennie Gill.

After graduating from West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Girls in 1955, Patricia attended Misericordia School of Nursing where she received a diploma as a Registered Nurse and enjoyed a 40-year career at Chester County, Coatesville VA, and Paoli Hospitals in addition to private duty nursing in retirement. During her tenure as a Registered Nurse, Patricia spent three years at Devereux Academy in Devon where she met her future husband, Robert. She volunteered for various charities and was involved with SS. Philip & James Church as catechism teacher and parishioner. Patricia led a life guided by the love of family. As if her heart was Herculean and her house a haven, she nurtured and sacrificed and loved so deeply. Patricia was a second mother to so many and the finest wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

Pat will forever be remembered by her husband of 56 years, Robert; children, Robert Drill III (Kathleen), Marypat Ahern (John), Mark Drill (Antoinette) and Mike Drill (Laura), and brother, William Gill. While she loved and was loved by her children and extended family, no one was dearer to her heart than her grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, Adam, Sam, Austin, Natalie, Jonathan and her grand puppies, Rommel, Raleigh and Buck. Pat will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, a closed casket service will be held. For those who wish to pay their respects to this remarkable woman, family and friends will be received on Monday, July 2 from 6pm to 8pm at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19355.

A visitation will also be held at 10am, before the 11am Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 3 at SS. Philip & James Church located at 107 North Ship Road, Exton, PA 19341. Interment will be private.
