Michael A. Antonelli

Michael A. Antonelli passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his residence in West Chester.  

Born in West Chester, the son of Frances Gabriel DiStefano (Dr. Vincent DiStefano) and the late Anthony Antonelli of Downingtown, he is also survived by his loving son, Austin V. Antonelli and his many sisters: Michelle Antonelli, Anntherese Antonelli, Leah Gabriel DiStefano, Lisa DiStefano Voissard, MaryBeth DiStefano Kichline and Denise DiStefano Christman, as well as his Godmother (Aunt) & Uncle, Doris Gabriel and Jeff Tapkas.

Michael graduated in 1982 from West Chester East High School. He acquired an interest for real estate at an early age from a family friend and was later employed by Liberman-Early Commercial Real Estate.  He treasured this career and was always interested in helping friends and family with real estate. He was also employed at the Borough of Downingtown.  This is where Michael truly discovered the interaction of the people of Downingtown.  He embraced the neighborhoods, people of all ages, working on special events and basically never left the Chester County area because of the people and his roots.  He loved discovering his family history and that’s where he wanted to be.

Michael had many talents.  It was no secret that music was his passion for many years.  While encouraging his son to play at the School of Rock, he was quite the drummer himself.  Sports?  He was one of those guys who went out on the field for the first time and scored points or went waterskiing for the first time and never fell.  A true sportsman.  He was also a trivia expert on many subjects. He shared the love of cooking, especially with his sister, AnnTherese. Michael was the turkey carver for every Thanksgiving.  He leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and many friends.  He will be sorely missed.

A Viewing will be held for Michael Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM with a Celebration of Life Service to immediately follow at The James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA.
