Marie C. Johnson

Marie C. Johnson, 95, of Downingtown, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Villa St. Martha.  She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Quaderer who passed away in 1991 and the late Richard F. Johnson who passed away in 2008.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Anna Carbone.

Marie was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Downingtown.  She was a former parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir.

She loved her time living at the Villa St. Martha where she was active in activities especially playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by 6 children, Kathleen P. (David) Curtis, Richard F. (Linda) Johnson, Jr., Lawrence O. (Donna) Johnson, Mary Ellen (Joseph) Maranella, Joanne C. Grier and Andrea (Ron) Parker.  She is also survived by a brother, Louis D. Carbone; 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Carbone and a host of nieces and nephews.  Marie was predeceased by a brother, Arthur C. Carbone.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 8:45-9:45 a.m.

Interment will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
