Marian G. Hildenbrand

Marian G. Hildenbrand, 99, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Simpson Meadows. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Hildenbrand who passed away in 1999.

Born in Uwchlan Twp. on November 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rosella (Detwiler) Harrington. Marian worked at, and eventually retired from, Maier’s Bakery in Pottstown. She was very active in her church, Coventryville United Methodist Church, and she loved to travel with her husband, Bob. Marian loved to bake, and most of all, loved her family and friends.

Surviving is her niece Rhonda Mascherino, wife of Louie, nephew Robert Henry Forbes, husband of Carol, nephew Roger Forbes; great nieces and nephews Shannon Forbes-Young, Ryan Forbes, Sonni Eller Shupe, Stephanie Forbes, and Christopher Forbes. She was preceded in death by her siblings Sarah Forbes, Alan Harrington, Ralph Harrington, Jr.; nephew Richard Forbes; and great nephew Steven Forbes.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1 PM at East Brandywine Baptist Church Cemetery, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, PA 19335.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marian’s memory to Coventryville United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Ridge Rd., Pottstown, PA 19465 or to Caring Hospice, 400 Commerce Drive Suite C, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
