Karen A. Mento

Karen A. Mento, 61, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Season's Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital.

Funeral services for Karen will be held on Friday, November 27th at 2:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Lebanon County. She will be buried with her husband, Benjamin Mento, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage and preceded her in death. Benjamin is being laid to rest with Military Honors. 

Karen was very artistic and had a passion for arts and crafts. Both Karen and Ben loved camping and traveling to the beach, and enjoyed time with friends and family. She enjoyed cooking and hosting friends at their home. When she wasn’t spending time with Ben, she loved to paint and would often make things for friends of hers, with many of her items being done in lavender, her favorite color.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Michale Barwell Johnson, and her father, Jack Johnson; three brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Thomas Johnson and Michael Johnson. She is survived by three sons, Jason Hilyard of Pinehurst, NC, Eric Hilyard of Holly Ridge, NC and Jon Hilyard of Midlothian, VA; three grandchildren, Trevor, Peyton and Lula Jean; two brothers, John Johnson and Steve Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
