John Ray Thompson Jr. "Toddy"

John R. Thompson, Jr. “Toddy”, 62, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late John Ray Thompson, Sr. and Eleanor J. “Jane” Tipton Thompson.

Toddy was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan, loved to watch scary movies and thoroughly enjoyed driving and taking care of his jeep. He was a loving and caring man and had a great sarcastic demeanor to him.

He is survived by his sister, Penny Noles and her husband, Randall; his nieces, Shannon McCarty and Jennifer Thompson; and by his nephews, Randall Noles, Jr. “Scott”, Michael Noles, Andrew Noles and Stephen Noles.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Theodore “Ted” Henry Thompson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Downingtown.
