Joanne Goleash

Joanne (nee Woodward) Goleash, 79, of Glenmoore, passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, November 21, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Goleash, Jr., with whom she shared 52 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2012. She missed him greatly. 

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Irene (Hines) Woodward.  Joanne is survived by three daughters, Eileen Goleash and partner Linda Rebstock, Kim Colman and husband James, Jackie Trullinger and husband Ted and grandchildren Ian & Jake Colman, Lola & Hazel Trullinger.  She was preceded in death by her older sister Christine and brother Norman Jr.  and is survived by sisters Ella May Reeves, Doris Dowlin, Dorothy Woodward and brother Charles Woodward.

Joanne loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook. Her holiday pies for Thanksgiving and homemade raviolis and spaghetti sauce for Christmas are recipes and traditions that will live on in the family. She liked going to the casinos and playing the scratch offs.  Joanne also loved to feed the birds and was an expert at attracting hummingbirds in the Summer. She also loved her pets and is survived by her dog Madden.

A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Tuesday, November 26th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends will be received from 9:15. to 10:45 

Interment will be private.
