Jean D. White

Jean D. White, age 93, of Downingtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, to the late Percy and Beatrice (nee DeWorth) Daub.
Jean spent most of her life in Colonia, New Jersey, and moved to Downingtown, PA in 2016. She worked for Mobil as an Administrative Assistant and stepped out of the work force to raise a family.  Afterwards Jean worked in a medical office and then in an insurance office.
Jean was a lover of primitive art, stencil work, and knitting. In her spare time, she loved gardening and playing tennis. Throughout her life she was a voracious reader.  Spending time with family was very important, and they enjoyed spending their summers in Cape Cod. Her grandchildren became the light of her life.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband John White (1999), son Dexter White, daughter Nancy Rutan, 2 sisters; Doris and Audrey, and one brother Raymond.
Jean is survived and missed by her son Thomas (Julie) White, 4 grandchildren; Amy DiPasquale, Jade (Erin) McDaniel, Laura White, Andrew (Theresa) White, son in law Clyde Rutan, and many loving extended family members.
Jean’s services will remain private at this time.
