James R. Lockwood, 91 of West Chester passed away on Sunday April 8, 2018.
Born in Havertown, Pa., he was the son of the late L. Clyde & Betty Wilkinson Lockwood.
Jim was a 1945 graduate of Haverford High School. He served out country proudly in the United States Army during WWII.
Mr. Lockwood was a self-employed home improvement contractor and was retired from the Chester County Assessment office. He was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and Elder of the church.
He is survived by his wife Margery, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage, two children, Lois E. Harrold wife of Andy of Elverson, Jamie Lockwood, husband of Cammie of Downingtown. Also survived by, five grandchildren, Kate Brueck wife of Jason, Andrew & Ian Harrold, Ashley & James Michael Lockwood, a great-grandchild Maxwell James Brueck and a sister Harriet Gray.
Memorial services will be held on Friday April 20, 2018 at 11 AM from the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave Downingtown where friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:45
