James L. Boyd, Jr.

James L. Boyd, Jr., 77, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Lewis Boyd, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, James was the son of the late James L., Sr. and Theresa L. DeMarco Boyd.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army.

After a rewarding career as an Interstate Truck Driver and in order to be closer to his family, he returned to his working roots as a union Carpenter. 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Boyd is survived by his four children, James Boyd and his wife, Pam Kopanski Boyd; Theresa Boyd Lewis and her husband, Todd; Brenda Boyd McCallion and her husband, Rick; and Christopher Boyd and his wife, Maureen McGovern Boyd, all of Downingtown. He is also survived by his sister, Geraldine Boyd Lawrence of North Carolina; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 24th from 9 to 11 am at the James J. Terry Funeral Home - Valley Township Location, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, COATESVILLE.
