Harry G. Valentino Jr.

Harry G. Valentino, Jr., passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024.  He was 89 years old, 22 days shy of turning 90.  He was the loving and devoted husband of Rose Valentino with whom he shared 63 years of marriage, prior to her passing in 2020.  Born in Downingtown, Pennsylvania in 1934, the son of the late Harry and Theresa Valentino.  He was survived by two children, daughter Donna (Joe) Reilly of Parkesburg PA. and son Harry (Sue) Valentino of Bel Air, MD, along with four grandchildren, Mathew (Courtney) Reilly, Jonathan (Leanne) Reilly, Marc Reilly and Nicholas (Julia) Valentino, and by one great granddaughter, Brynley Reilly.  He was also survived by his brother, Francis Valentino and sister-in-law, Sister Kathleen Kelly R.S.M.  He was preceded in death by 6 siblings, John, Mary, Edith, Annette, Theresa and Richard. 

Harry was employed at Downingtown School District for 20 years.  Prior to that, he worked in the family concrete business.  He had a great life and loved spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing and the family annual beach week in Ocean City, New Jersey.  Holidays were also a special time for him as he and Rose would spend weeks preparing for annual Easter Breakfast and the Feast of Seven Fishes at Christmas.  He enjoyed going to Atlantic City to the casinos with Rose, family members and friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown.  Family and friends will be received from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown, immediately following Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Saint Joseph Parish of Downingtown.
