Harry Edward Otto, 80, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at St. Martha Center For Rehabilitation and Nursing, Downingtown.
Born in Bellwood, Blair County, PA, Harry was the son of the late Clifford S. and Sara J. (Lahr) Otto. He was the husband of Mary (Cherry) Otto. The couple shared almost 60 years of marriage.
Harry proudly served in the US Navy from 1959-1963. He was stationed on USS Princeton. Harry was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Downingtown. He enjoyed being with his families, computers, riding his motor cycles, and wood-working. He was a long-time Downingtown High School band parent.
In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his children: Edward Roy Otto, husband of MaryAnn (Robsock) Otto, of Downingtown, and Elaine Susan (Otto) Lawrence, wife of Marc Lawrence, of Dunedin, FL; grandchildren: Edward T. Otto, husband of Samantha, Julia R. Otto, Michael Lawrence, and Summer Lawrence; sisters: Linda Miller, Jean Holland, and Doris Otto; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his sisters: Donna Dixen and Karen Paterson; Uncle: Ernest “Buck” Otto; Aunt: Elmira Weaver.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10:45-11:45 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
