George L. Armentrout Sr., of Exton, passed away peacefully June 24, 2018 at the Coatesville VA Hospital. Born on November 5, 1943 he was raised by his loving grandparents and Uncle George.
The life companion of Shirley Davis, George shared 28 endearing years together with her.
George was a proud army veteran, and participated annually at the flag ceremony at the Coatesville VA parade, and he was a marshal during the year Vietnam veterans were honored.
Always a good neighbor, George used to cut grass for friends, and never met a person he couldn’t talk to. He was known as a talkative, friendly man.
As a member of the Honda Goldwings Club, George had a love for his motorcycle and would take Shirley on many rides.
George had a great love for his dogs, leaving behind Lakota, and also for fishing.
In addition to Lakota and Shirley, George is survived by his children; George Jr (Pam) and Marliessa (Juan); along with his two brothers Tim and Dicky, and sisters, Debbie, Yvonne and Glenda; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the James J Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave. Downingtown PA 19335, with calling hours beginning at 12:30 pm.
