Eugene W. "Gene" Gerard, 75, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was the beloved and forever cherished husband of Lisa A. (nee Balinski) Gerard, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Before his retirement several years ago, Gene's career was in sales related to computer software.
Gene's identity and hope was in his Savior Jesus Christ, in whose presence he now joyfully resides. He was an active member and led a men's group at Ironworks Church of Phoenixville.
He was also an active member of the Chester County Marine Corp League in Downingtown, where he deeply valued the comradery with his fellow Marines.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, Gene is survived his children, Curtis Golembiewski-Gerard, Valerie Flaim, Dana Gerard and Elliot Gerard, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his brother, Jerry Gerard, a large extended family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 24th at Iron Works Church, 400 Franklin Avenue, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's honor to Serving Leaders Ministry, 1564 McDaniel Drive, West Chester, PA 19380.
