Ethel Genevieve McFarland

Ethel Dallara McFarland, 97, of Downingtown, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Simpson Meadows in Downingtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Glenn McFarland and Tim Dallara. She was the daughter of the late John Marsh and Lula (Deemer) Marsh.

Ethel was a homemaker and excellent baker, known for her wonderful pastries and rolls. She was very involved in activities at her church in Blairsville. She was a sweet and gentle person and will be missed by all. Her main focus was taking care of her family.

Dearest mother of three children, Keith (Barbara) Dallara of Downingtown, Barry (Sharon) Dallara of Alum Bank, Pa and Patricia (David) Bechtel of Buffalo, NY. Adored grandmother of six grandchildren, Keith Dallara, Cynthia Dallara, Christine Jones, David Dallara, Melanie Kolek and Mark Bechtel. Loving great-grandmother of 11 great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Corbett of Blairsville and Marjorie Dziewit of Westland, Michigan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Ethel’s life at Hebron Lutheran Church, 125 N. Liberty Street, Blairsville, Pa on August 3rd at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ethel’s name to AseraCare Hospice, 411 Eagleview Blvd., Exton, Pa 19341.
