Eleanor A. Altringer

Eleanor A. Altringer, 85, of Exton, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Phoenixville Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard Altringer who passed away in 1996. 

Born in Bristol, PA on May 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Blazic) Pilia. Eleanor graduated from Kensington All Girls High School. She went on to create a loving home, raising her four children. Eleanor was a member of Saints Philip and James Catholic Church. Faith and Family were most important to her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her children Donna Setzer, wife of Don, of Hatfield, PA, Richard Altringer, husband of Susan, of Voorhees Twp., NJ, Philip Altringer, husband of Michelle, of Morgantown, PA and Sharon Sanborn, wife of Jeffrey, of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren Chelsea Katkowski, wife of Ryan, Paige Cipolone, wife of Philip, Forrest Setzer, Miranda Altringer, Tyler Altringer, Zachary Altringer, Breyleigh Altringer, Joshua Altringer, Brynne Brannan, wife of Cody, Jared Barrett, Tara Barrett and Devon Barrett; great grandchildren Rose Katkowski, Cody Katkowski, Paul Cipolone, Addison Rainey, Delaney Rainey, Emerson Brannan and one on the way Baby Brannan. She was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Pilia and sister Sylvia Matkovich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11 AM at Ss. Philip & James Catholic Church, 107 N. Ship Rd., Exton, PA 19341. Visitation will be from 9:45 – 10:45 AM prior to mass at the church. Burial will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
