Edith M. Brown

Edith M. Albertson Brown, 86, of West Chester, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at her home.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late A. Richard Albertson and Mildred Broadbelt Albertson.

Edie attended the Marshallton Elementary School and graduated from Downingtown in 1953. She worked for over 40 years at First National Bank of Chester County in West Chester, PA as a reconciliation officer.  Edie always spoke highly of her parents and she often told others how much she enjoyed riding in their airplane.  Edie shared the love of nature with her Brother.  She was often seen driving her Blue Ford pick-up throughout Chester County, and her CB handle was, "Blue Vixen".  She transported horses for herself and others,  which included late night runs to New Bolton,

and was very involved with Equine activities including Pony Club.

Her true love was, "Fox Hunting". Whoever had the pleasure of knowing Edie would say they fell for her instantly because of her Kurt personality and wonderful sense of humor.  Her friendships were important to her and she adored all animals and children all of her life, she will be truly missed. 

Edith was predeceased by her parents and by her brother, Richard Albertson.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Friends will be received from 11-11:45 am.

Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery, West Chester.
