Donald Eugene Wilson

Donald Eugene Wilson, age 85, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Chester County Pocopson Home, West Chester, PA.

Donald was born in Shamokin, PA, to the late Albert and Flossie (nee Mowery) Wilson.

During the Korean War, Donald served in the US Navy as a radioman onboard the USS Cadmus.  For 40 years, Donald worked as a Field Engineer for UNISYS in Malvern, PA. In his spare time, he loved traveling, bowling, fishing, and watching the Phillies Baseball games. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Albert Wilson and Woodrow Wilson and his son-in-law, George N. Salvino Jr.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn W. Wilson, whom together shared 62 years of marriage, 2 daughters, Diane Salvino and Donna Kelly (Martin), 7 grandchildren, Danielle Morton (John), Donald Kelly (Renee), Jason Salvino, Sean Kelly (Christine), Matthew Kelly (Megan), Julie Salvino and Jessica Salvino, 3 great grandchildren, Nicholas Morton, Mikayla Morton, and Lily Morton and 3 siblings, Ernestine Blessing, Joyce Thomas, and Daniel Wilson, and many loving extended family members.

On Monday, February 25, 2019, at 11am, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA, where family and friends will be received from 10am-10:45am. Interment All Souls Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
