Dino Bernardo Taraschi, 62, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from cancer. He was the son of Dina Spagnulo and the late Abramo Victor Taraschi of Downingtown, and husband to Elizabeth (Libby) Taraschi (Kitchen) of Coatesville.

Those who knew Dino will remember him for his incredible kindness, loving heart, endless compassion, unwavering faith, infectious laugh and the inconceivable amounts of perseverance and strength he used both to survive and thrive despite the burden of a lifelong mental illness. He had a knack for knowing when someone was in need, and saying the right thing at the right time. He brought hope, inspiration and unconditional acceptance to so many he met in his travels through life. He had incredible insight, and the light he shared with the world will be missed by so many. Dino thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and time spent fishing, hunting and walking in the peace of nature. He was intelligent and an extremely humble and hard worker, willing to do any job that was helpful to another. Above all else, Dino cherished being in the company of unconditionally loving and accepting family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Elizabeth, Dino is survived by his children, Michelle (Ken) Terry and Stefano (Alex) Taraschi; mother, Dina Taraschi (nee Spagnulo); grandchildren, Vivian and Quincey Terry and Ophilia Taraschi; siblings Mary (David) Kipp, Victor Taraschi, Pia (Richard) Lutz, Francis (Lisa) Taraschi, Phillip (Lori) Taraschi, Gabriella (Michael) DiSantis and Mirella (Eddie) Cuccio; as well as countless nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, the Johnsontown Brothers he grew up with and countless friends he made along the way. In addition to his father; Dino is preceded in death by his brother Andrew Taraschi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 11, 2021, 11:30AM at Saint Joseph’s Church 332 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335 with visitation prior from 10:15AM to 11:15AM. Due to COVID restrictions, all guests must wear a face mask as well as maintain social distancing. Interment will be private. Services will be available via livestream by clicking the link at the top of this page.
