Claudia Birnley

Heaven gained our perfect angel on Friday, July 25th, 2020.  Claudia Alexandra Pohl Birnley, 55, of Chester Springs, passed away at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA after a seven-year battle with cancer.

Claudia was the daughter of Isolde (Moos) and the late Dr. Hanns Pohl. She was the beloved wife of Tim Birnley and the most loving mother of Madison. Tim and Claudia shared 18 years of marriage, where they enjoyed entertaining and living life to its fullest.

In addition to her husband, daughter, and mother, Claudia is survived by her brother, Dr. Christoph Pohl, and his wife, Christine Mallula, of Winfield, PA, as well as nephews, Marcus Pohl and Erik Pohl.

Claudia enjoyed deep conversations, socializing with friends, and many outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, running, and biking. She had a vibrant love of life and enjoyed experiencing a wide variety of what life has to offer.  She lived on 3 different continents and had enjoyed a career spanning automotive logistics and software consulting, but her most proud moments were enjoyed as a mother.  While spending time at home, she expanded her love of cooking, and enjoyed making many different wonderful sauces and salads, learned during her many travels around the globe.

A celebration of her life memorial service will be scheduled in the near future.
