Clara Elizabeth Anderson

Clara Elizabeth Anderson, age 66, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Brandywine Hospital. Clara was born in Ardmore, PA to the late Walter C. and Jessie T. (Dovey) Sharpless.

Clara put her family first in every matter, and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a kind-hearted woman, who adored animals and nature.  Her late golden retriever fur babies, Sam and Mandy, held a special place in her heart.  Clara dedicated 25 plus years of service to TV Guide.  She will be truly missed by those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband Charles Anderson, who passed away in May 2017, brother Walter Sharpless and sister Roberta McCormick.
Clara is survived and deeply missed by her siblings, Barbara Hotter (the late John Hotter), Patricia Sheddy (Robert), Dennis (Carol) Sharpless, Kenneth (Margaret “Peggy”) Sharpless, nieces and nephews; Debbie, Kim, Stacey, Cheryl, Michele, Denny Jr., Amy, Walt, Jamie, Matt, Pam, Michael, Megan, Rosanne, Billy, stepchildren David C. Anderson and Marjorie (Robert) Versagli, and step grandchildren Lee and Chip Morgensen, Kyle Prosock, David Anderson, Jr. and Cassandra Anderson.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Clara’s life on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, where friends may visit from 10:30-11:50AM, followed by a memorial service at 12PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Clara’s name can be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
