Christopher Michael Collinson, 32, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend entered eternal life on Friday morning, August 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.  The son of Thomas Willian Collinson Jr. and Marie Collinson (Ragonese), Christopher was born March 22, 1988 and is the cherished brother of Thomas William III, Antoinette “Anne” and Matthew Collinson and the much adored uncle of Kristina, Charlie, Colton, Gunner, Isaac and Melody, with whom he spent many wonderful and happy moments.

A lifelong resident of Downingtown, PA and a member of St. Elizabeth Parish, Christopher attended Bishop Shanahan High School and Bloomsburg University. Christopher loved to travel and pursued adventure and new experiences on trips to Spain, Costa Rica and most recently China just 1 year ago.  Chris always enjoyed fishing and fishing trips with his father and uncles during many wonderful summers at the beach in New Jersey with his family and large, loving group of cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents.

Christopher’s many friends and co-workers loved him for his unwavering kindness that had no bounds, along with hands consistently outstretched to help others.  Chris’s generous spirit was always first to say yes to those in need. A moment in his presence was all it took to call and consider him a friend. He loved to leave humorous notes for a co-worker at Collinson Inc. and to share silly stories to make his co-workers, family and friends laugh and to uplift people who were hurting. Christopher enjoyed good movies, music and jokes and was an expert in famous movie lines and the history behind many classic songs and artists. Life recognized the resolve of his spirit and threw many challenges and setbacks at Christopher during his life but he never let that diminish his caring personality, devotion to family and graciousness towards others.  His big heart also had plenty of room for a variety of animals and pets he lovingly cared for over the years and not surprisingly, Chris was involved in rescuing vulnerable hawks and owls.

Christopher came in a hurry to spread love, humor, joy, and contagious laughter…famously not even waiting until his parents got to the hospital. One could imagine why the angels wanted him back and he has left us too soon.  He will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, sister, brothers, nieces and nephews, Christopher is survived by his grandmother Antoinette Ragonese, grandfather Thomas William Collinson Sr., and many, many adoring aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is predeceased by his beloved grandfather Patsy Ragonese, grandmother Mary Collinson, Aunt Kathy Ragonese and Uncle David Collinson. His dogs Rufus and Cosmo also feel his loss.
