Carole Ann Kurpinski

Carole Ann Van Blunk Kurpinski, 74, of Downingtown, passed away suddenly on February 14, 2019. Carole was born on July, 25, 1944 in Philadelphia and she was the daughter of James and Evelyn Van Blunk (nee Pitts).

Carole was a graduate of Hallahan Girls Catholic High School in Philadelphia and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Downingtown for the past 40 years. Carole was a devoted mother and grandmother and she worked for her beloved Chester County Hospital for 15 years in the billing department; retiring only a few years ago.

Carole enjoyed reading and was an avid sports fan, she loved baseball and hockey, one of her favorite activities was cheering her sons then grandchildren on. Whether it was in a cold hockey rink or under the hot sun at a baseball field, she was always there to support her family.

Carole is survived by her sons, John Kurpinski (Adrienne), and Brian Kurpinski (Francesca), four grandchildren, Olivia, Wade, Lydia and Garrett Kurpinski; brothers James Van Blunk (Elaine) and Henry Van Blunk (Pamela), and sister Danya Van Blunk; along with nieces Madilyn and Alexis Van Blunk; and nephews, Thomas and William Van Blunk.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 beginning at 11:00am, at Saint Joseph Church 332 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335.
Friends may call prior from 9:45am – 10:45am.
