Brooks C. Welch Sr.

Brooks C. Welch Sr., 89, of Downingtown, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Facility.

He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara S. (nee Sheehan) Welch, with whom he shared 69 years of marriage at the time of her passing this past January.

Born in Clendenin, WV, Brooks was the son of the late Homer and Daisy Welch.

Raised in Chester County, he worked as a Supervisor for Sunoco Paper Products for 42 years before retiring in 1986.

Brooks enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all his pride and joy was the love for his family.

Brooks is survived by his children, Charles Welch (Ann), Joseph Welch (Beth), Patrick Welch (Donna), John Welch Sr., Brookes Welch Jr. (Karen), and Bernadette Neal (Frank). He is also survived by his siblings, Lucy Andrews and Orivil Welch; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Lilia Mountz and Elvin Welch.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brooks will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 3rd at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 to 10:45 am. 

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
