Anne A. Shea

Anne “Nancy” A. Shea (nee Breen), 91, of Downingtown, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on July 2, 2019. Born to Fenton V. Breen and Annie McGill Breen in Ithan, PA; she was the wife of the late Leo C. Shea until his passing in 1973.


Anne is survived by her children; Mary Beth Smedley (the late Robert), Anne S. Forrest, Patricia S. Pileggi (James) and Cathleen S. DiSantis (Eric); sister Mary Kiester; 9 grandchildren: Jennifer Davidson (Jared), Amanda Peachey (Kevin), Cara Shea-Miller, Kaitlin Forrest, Julianne Pileggi, Elizabeth Lapteva (Bogdan), Lea DiSantis, Dante DiSantis and Jimmy DiSantis, and 4 great grandchildren: Patrick Davidson, Carrie Davidson, James Davidson and Kathleen Davidson.


In addition to her husband and parents, Anne is predeceased by her son, James P. Shea, brothers Charles Breen and John “Jack” Breen, sister Elizabeth Breen as well as her grandson Michael J. Forrest, Jr. and great granddaughter Shea Lynn Davidson.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 11:00 am at Saint Joseph Church 332 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335. Friends may call from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment will be private.
