Ann Leslie Mapes

Ann Leslie Mapes, 81, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late A. Leslie Mapes and Beatrice E. Edgers Mapes.

Ann spread her knowledge throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey as an elementary school teacher, working for many different school districts including, West Chester Area School District and Chalfont Schools.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.  In her early years, she loved to travel nationally and internationally including Europe and Disney World.

She is survived by her brother, Bruce E. Mapes; her nephews, Robert B. Mapes (Denise) and Jeffrey K. Mapes (Lori); her great nephews, Charles A. and Andrew M. Mapes and by a great niece, Maren A. Mapes.

Ann was predeceased by her two sisters-in-law, Maryhelen Mapes and Karen L. Mapes

Graveside services will be held privately with the family at Great Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Malvern.
