Alec A. Androwick

Alec A. Androwick, 71, of Coatesville, passed away on the morning of May 23, 2022 at Chester County Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Alec Androwick and Doris Fletcher Androwick. After graduating from Downingtown High School, he entered the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. Al was employed by DePuy Synthes, the Orthopaedics Company of Johnson & Johnson, in Reasearch & Development. He drew tremendous satisfaction from his craft while working with an outstanding group of people for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoors man and an active member of a hunting club in Potter County. Al enjoyed fishing, as well as cruising on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He especially loved various genres of music with classic rock being his favorite. In addition, he could knock out a good song on the guitar. Sandy, as the family called him, had a great sense of humor accompanied with a big and kind heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Alec is survived by his wife Xien Kim Ozer; son Steve Ozer of California; siblings Lorraine A. Byrd of Eagleville, Edwin J. and his wife Kym Heflybower, of Douglassville, Margaret Somers, wife of the late Joseph C. Somers, of East Fallowfield, Thomas W. of Narvon and John V. and his wife Jill, of West Chester; five nephews, three nieces, as well as three grandnieces and a grandnephew.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 10:45 am prior to mass at the church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
