Terrence “Terry” Madden, age 76, of Downingtown, formerly of Stuart, FL, was called home to God to be with his bride on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Beatrice (Atkins) Madden.
For 18 years, Terry was the host of the PBS television series “Terry Madden’s Watercolor Workshop,” where he was well known for encouraging inspiring artists “You can do it!” Terry and his beloved late wife, Judith Madden; who passed away in 2014, owned and operated the Madden Art Gallery in Stuart, FL. His watercolors grace private and corporate collections around the world.
Terry was not only a charismatic artist, but a man with a strong faith in God, and lived each day to its fullest. He kept an active routine attending Calvary Fellowship, volunteering at the Chester County Library and riding on the Chester County Rover to his favorite spots each week.
Terry is survived and missed by his children; Scott Madden and Stacey Sykes and her husband Graham; sister Virginia Tarasi and her husband Lou; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Madden and his wife Jackie, Mylie Madden, and Grey Sykes; and great grandson Austin Madden.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Terry on Monday, July 10, 2017, visitation begins at 10AM, followed by a time of sharing at 10:30AM, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335.
