Philomena M. Bender of Downingtown passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Exton.
She was the daughter of the late John and Adeline Mattioni Massimini.
Philomena was a 1958 graduate of Downingtown High School and went on to receive her RN Degree at Chester County Hospital. Ms. Benders later earned her Master’s in Education Health Nursing and Arts Professional from New York University.
Mina lived in New York City while working for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for 25 years in Public Health Communication. After retirement Mina moved to Maine and then returned back to the Downingtown area to be close to family and friends. Mina had a love of animals but she especially enjoyed traveling internationally.
Mina is survived by her siblings John Massimini (Phyllis Ronollo ), Patricia Massimini- Cahill (Ted) and Joan Kroll (David). She is also survived by her two nieces Rachel Kroll and Laura Berger.
A Celebration of her life is being planned in the very near future.
