Peggy Ann (Campbell) Espenlaub of Exton, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1939 in Altoona, PA.
She was a graduate of Altoona Area High School, Altoona Hospital School of Nursing, and West Chester University. Peggy enjoyed working and volunteering as a nurse and medical professional throughout her life. She worked for many years at Delaware County Community College as an instructor for Medical Assistants.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Espenlaub; four children, Charles F. Espenlaub III (Wendy), Bradford Espenlaub (Stacey), Douglas Espenlaub (Constance), and Kathryn Espenlaub Veazie (Justin); nine grandchildren: Andrew, Emma, Teagan, Kiele, Benjamin, Jonathan, Shannon, Stephanie, and Bode; her siblings, Chuck Campbell and Carol Smith; and other loving family members. and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Peggy Dolores and Charles L. Campbell and her beloved paternal grandparents who raised her.
She was an active member of the Red Hat’s Society and Women’s Community Club of Uwchlan where she was a past president. She devoted much of her time to the Downingtown Methodist Church where she led many of their ministries.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Downingtown United Methodist Church, 751 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335. A visitation will be held in the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
