Kathryn J. Russum, 93, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the Hickory House Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

Born in Downingtown, she was the beloved wife of the late James I. Russum with whom she shared 48 loving years of marriage.

Kathryn worked at Unisys for 23 years and at Wegman’s for 14 years before retiring. She was employed to the age of 91 years young!

In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, camping, had a fondness for cats, enjoyed feeding the sea gulls and birds at the beach but most of all, enjoyed spending time with her large family and reminiscing about the good ole days.

She is survived by her children, Harry J. Russum (Sarah), Irving L. Russum (Pat), Dennis A. Russum (Karen), George G. Russum, Debbie D. Zolnay (Rick), Gail D. Bedsaul (Jim) and Mark W. Russum (Tina); 14 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren and 5 great -great grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends will be received from 09:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be at Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery.
