E. Paul Nothe, III, 60, of Narvon, was tragically taken from many who loved him dearly on Monday, April 24, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Snow Nothe, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia on January 2, 1957 and raised in Chester County, he was the son of Caroline Nothe McElhany and the late Elmer P. Nothe, Jr. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul; his family and friends and he was full of life. He had a heart for those who hurt.

In addition to his wife and mother, Paul is survived by his son, Reverend Kevin Rutledge (Rebecca); sisters, Terry Mekosh (late Dennis), Joanne Heitzman (Rob); two nieces, Robyn Gotro (Brandon) and Emily Heitzman; a grandfather to five beautiful grandkids, Joshua and Eliana Rutledge and Brielle, Caylee and James Newman. Also survived by three step-brothers, Steven McElhany (JoAnn), Ron McElhany (Beth) and Bart McElhany (Jennifer); a step-sister, Brenda Martin (Gary); Step nieces and nephews, Monica, Keith, Amy, Crystal, Katelyn, Dawson, Keegan, Finian, Tyler and all their children. In addition to his father, Paul is predeceased by his daughter, Heather Marie Nothe Newman and by his step-father, Reuben McElhany.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm, Friday, May 5, 2017 at East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, Pa 19335, where family and friends will be received from 4:00-5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Brandywine Baptist Church at the above address to continue Paul’s passion for ministries that support the homeless and those struggling with addiction.
