When Aggie was a hostess at the Downingtown Inn we sometimes good-naturedly called her “Lady Alex” because the manager, who took a telephone booking from a local Ladies Auxiliary, mistakenly wrote “Lady Alex” in the reservation book, leading Aggie and the wait staff to think that a British royal was about to dine at the Inn. Aggie got a kick out of the nickname and sometimes signed her letters and Christmas cards to me with the moniker.

Aggie (crick-Cree) as we called her when we were little. She was our world. She lived up the street from us. She was the " sun Goddess" of Johnsontown"! Aggie was always lying in the sun with her long hair in a ponytail. She lived across street from my Grandmother and my brother always was at her house for gourmet food that she and Carmay/Aggie would make on a daily basis. Seriously, she was a staple of Downingtown/Johnsontown. It was a traditional "nuclear" family" way before it was coined "it takes a Village ". It was the original "Italian Village"! She was the icon in it and a part its inception. A class act. An icon who will be missed and possibly not recognized in her own rite !

Aggie was an amazing woman who would take care of Tonia and Tony, whom she deeply loved, when needed. Rest in peace Aggie!

Aggie was a dear friend for over fifty years and I will forever have a special place in my heart for this wonderful woman.

She was smart, elegant and beautiful—and had a feisty sense of humor that always kept everyone laughing.

I feel truly blessed to have known her and I am greatly saddened that she is no longer with us.

My love and deepest sympathy to the entire Farnum family.
