Zellen A. Shelton

Zellen Allen Shelton of Downingtown, PA passed away (went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) on June 12, 2022.

Born December 3, 1926 in High Point, NC, she was the daughter of Dewey and Odessa Allen.

She is survived by her brother, Chet Allen of Jamestown, NC; three daughters: Catherine Ford (Ron) of Chester, VA; Lisa Radford (David) of Roanoke, VA; and Priscilla Rudolf (Michael) of Pottstown, PA; six grandchildren: Meredith Cates (Marty); Bethany Ford (Erin); Ben Radford (Carrie); Hannah Leng (Frank); Tim Radford; Emma Rudolf; four great-granddaughters: Hatley Grace Cates; Mary Margaret Cates; Anna Clarence Cates; and Margot Poppy Radford.

She was employed full-time by DER, Bureau of Forestry for 20-years and part-time by the French Creek and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust for 22-years.

She served in a variety of positions at First UMC, Phoenixville, PA including UMW President, Trustee, Craft Show Chair.

Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters. She loved entertaining, gardening, reading, and involvement in church activities.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 865 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Friends Fund, Simpson Meadows, 101 Plaza Drive, Downingtown, PA 19335 or First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville at the address above.
