William NH Grier

William NH Grier, 84, of Glenmoore, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Coatesville, William was the son of the late William N. and Gladys (Evans) Grier. He was the beloved husband of Shirley A. Grier. The couple shared 62 years of marriage.

After graduating from high school, William proudly served in the United States Navy. He was later employed by Bishop Steel, and later A&P / Superfresh. William enjoyed fishing, cruising, and vacationing. He had visited several countries, including, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, and several others. He also enjoyed collecting various items, including canes and wooden figurines

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter: Tracy Bair, wife of Tim, of Chester Springs; Daughter-in-law: Joanne Grier-Schipper ; grandchildren: Nicole, Timmy, Bill, Kevin, Jenna, Matt, and Julie; Great-grandchildren: Brydon, Abby, Henley, and Myles.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his son: William Allen Grier, and his siblings: Alice Hoopes and Ralph Grier.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 9:45-10:45 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions in William's name may be made to James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, to assist with funeral expenses.
