William "Ace" Alex

December 22, 1933 - November 3, 2019

William Joseph "Ace" Alex, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on November 3, 2019, after a strong two month battle with illness, at Chester County Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Ace was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from Roman Catholic High School. Ace worked for Asplundh Tree Service before becoming a decorated Philadelphia Police Officer for 28 years. He retired at age 58.

He was one of two children born to the late John and Dorothy Alex, and was the beloved husband of Elaine Alex for sixty years. Ace will be forever remembered by his wife and loving children, Tracy (Donald) Phillips, Heather (Andrew) Pavucek, Bill Alex, and his treasured grandchildren, Sophia, Mason, Roman, and Lukas, as well as other family and friends who were blessed to know him.

Ace was a TV remote aficionado, a closet political pundit, and a fan of 50's and 60's music.

Ace touched the lives of many people with his dry humor and maintained his trademark snarky demeanor all the way to the end.
