Warren David DeLong, 53, of West Chester, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Anne-Sophie (nee Chambe) DeLong, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.
Born in Bryn Mawr, David was the son of Catherine Toland DeLong of West Chester and the late Warren Fox DeLong.
He was a 1982 graduate of West Chester East High School and attended Penn State before pursuing a career in cooking.
David’s passion for cooking started as a chef at the French restaurant, La Cocotte, in West Chester and continued for many years.
For the past 26 years, David owned and operated his family’s petroleum contracting company, Warren F. DeLong, Inc., located in Malvern. Even while running the family business, he still loved cooking.
He treasured his time with family and friends and looked forward to his annual trips with his closest friends.
In addition to his wife and mother, David is survived by his children, Camille, Wyatt, and Justine DeLong; sister, Julie Wolfe and her husband, Chris; father and mother-in-law, Maurice and Jacqueline Chambe; brother-in-laws, Eric Chambe and his wife, Corinne, and Pierre Chambe and his wife, Veronique; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends from 8:30 to 10:15 am on Friday, June 9th at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.
Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery, Marshallton.
