Vadie Irene Anderson of West Chester

Vadie Irene Anderson, 78, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Earle F. Anderson, Jr., sharing 47 years of marriage together prior to his passing in 2017.

Born in Butler, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Willie W. and Effie M. Black Trivette.

Irene retired from Pepperidge Farm in Downingtown and was a member of Faith Community Baptist Church in Downingtown. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Glenda (Rob) Evans, Lesa (Joe) Jordan, Nancy (Joe) Anderson-Berkson and Tami Clark; sisters, Joyce (John) Mandler, Mildred (Dan) Sobotka, Mary (Bruce) Sizemore and Robin (Tim) Roberts; a brother, Allen (Joanna) Trivette; a sister-in-law, Hazel (Frank) Kline; 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kline; and her siblings, Darlene Barlow, Houston, Clyde, Mirl and Richard Trivette and by a granddaughter, Angela Jacobs.

A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, February 12, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, at Faith Community Baptist Church, 1585 Glenside Road, Downingtown, with a viewing at the church from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in East Brandywine Baptist Cemetery, Downingtown.
