He was an annual participant in the Memorial Day Parades in Downingtown, where he was honored to be chosen to serve as Grand Marshal on several occasions.  Tom could be seen waving from the caisson every year.

Service was an important aspect of Tom’s life and over the years he volunteered with many organizations including serving dinners at the Salvation Army in West Chester and delivering Entenmanns to the VA in Coatesville.  He was a member and fixture of the Grove United Methodist Church in West Chester for over 60 years.  Tom served in many roles over his years at the church including stints on the Board of Trustees and as the Superintendent of the Sunday School program.  Tom was a past president of the Great Valley Little League and also served as a coach there for many years.  He loved sports and played softball well into his eighties.  Tom loved his friends at the DK Diner, where he was a regular for breakfast 6 days a week.

Tom is survived by his children:  Linda Simmons (Tom Brennan) of Malvern, Tom Logan (Bev) of West Chester, Andy Logan (Kasey) of West Chester, Pete Logan (Nora) of Havertown; grandchildren: Jeremy Simmons (Holly), Sami Carlin (Dave), Lisa Hennessey (Mike), Kylie Shoyer (Eric), Tom Logan (Kait), Emily Logan (Kevin), Jon Logan (Sarah), Connor Logan (Ashley), Kevin Logan (Jillian), Matt Logan (Angelique), Katie Logan and Bernadette Logan; great grandchildren: D.J.
