Thomas M. Hrynkow, 79, passed away on Thursday, Sept.27, 2018 at the Southeast Veterans Home in Spring City.
Born in Chicago, Il, he was the oldest son of the late Michael and Hazel Hrynkow.
Tom was a graduate of Dubuque Sr. High School and University of Dubuque with a B.S. in Economics.
Tom served proudly as a USMC Captain with service in Vietnam. He was the owner of DANDT Inc. and drove many years for Krapf Buses. Tom had many fond memories of driving the Downingtown High School Football team and his many bus routes.
Tom was an avid Eagles and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He was a lifetime member of the Downingtown VFW Post 845 and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lionville.
Married for 56 years to Dorothy (Sanchez) Hrynkow with whom they had four sons, David (Dawn), Ted (Tammy), Topher (Carol) and Dan (Donna). Tom is also survived by his sister Doris, brother Dennis and his eight loving grandchildren (Katie, Jessica, Jordan, Madison, Andrew, William, Ashley and Kennedy) and two great grandchildren (Colin and Colton). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Ronald, who passed away in 2017.
A visitation for Tom will take place on Tuesday evening Oct. 2, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm and again on Wednesday from 9 am to 10:15 am followed by his funeral service at 10:30 am at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335.
